BBAL.nl attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. In this privacy policy we explain which data we process, why we do so and what rights you have. This policy applies to all users of the BBAL.nl platform, including administrators, members and visitors of club websites.
1. Who we are
BBAL.nl is a platform for basketball clubs that offers member management, training planning, communication and a webshop. BBAL.nl is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy. For questions, you can contact us using the contact details in section 11.
2. What data we process
We may process the following personal data: - Name, email address and phone number - Account data: email address and encrypted password - Profile data: name, photo, date of birth, gender and role within the club - Youth member data: name and contact details of parent/guardian - Financial data: invoice details and payment status - Communication data: messages you send via the platform - NBB member number for linking match statistics - Technical data: IP address and browser data
3. Purpose of data processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes: - Creating and managing your account - Managing member administration and contributions - Planning training sessions and matches - Sending communication and newsletters - Facilitating the webshop and orders - Linking match and player statistics with the NBB - Analyzing platform usage to improve our services - Complying with legal obligations
4. Legal basis
We process personal data on the following legal grounds: - Performance of a contract: for delivering our services to you and your club - Legal obligation: for complying with tax and administrative obligations - Legitimate interest: for improving our services and platform security - Consent: for sending newsletters and processing special data. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Sharing data with third parties
We only share your personal data with third parties when necessary for providing our services: - Data controllers: your club is the data controller for the member data it manages via the platform - NBB (Dutch Basketball Association): for synchronizing match and player statistics, if your club chooses this - Email service providers: for sending newsletters and notifications - Cloud storage providers: for storing documents and images We never sell your data to third parties.
6. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. This includes password encryption, secure connections (HTTPS), access control and regular security reviews. Each member also only has access to data within their own club.
7. Retention periods
We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Member data is retained as long as you are a member of the club and thereafter for a maximum of seven years for administrative and tax obligations. Account data is deleted when you request deletion of your account.
